Are you a driver of the on-demand economy? This blog might be for you then.
I started this blog after a visit to Silicon Valley in 2015. While in the Bay, I was fascinated by on-demand economy companies like Caviar, DoorDash, Postmates, Uber, Lyft and others.
I used to work in research (bioscience and behavior) but have since embraced the gig life. I drive for on-demand companies because of the flexibility and I use this blog to provide helpful information, content, and resources for others who drive for these companies.
This blog also has an email newsletter. I use it to alert drivers by email of news from brands like Postmates, Caviar, Lyft, Uber, DoorDash that could affect them. It’s a place to stay up-to-date with what’s going on in the gig economy. You can opt in below. I typically send about 1-2 emails a month, tops. No spam ever.
In addition to providing news in the industry, I’ve observed is that the people who are the bloodline of these startups, the couriers, are not being provided with enough resources to help them make the most out of their time. I am learning the trick of the trade, figuring out each city and platform, and sharing what I learn about the courier experience as I go.
I hope you’ll find some of my posts helpful to you. If not, maybe at least you’ll enjoy the rants and mishaps of my life in the on-demand economy.
My writing isn’t Hemingway status so I promise to keep it short and sweet.
If you’re interested in succeeding in the gig economy, this blog is for you.
