Gig 101: A Guide On How To Get In Touch With Uber Support

Updated: 2/09/2021. A lot of new drivers entered the gig economy during the COVID-19 Pandemic. This article was updated to assist new drivers in how to get in touch with Uber Support.

Through your time as a gig worker on the Uber platform, whether you are driving food delivery or transporting riders, you are bound to come across some hiccups. When addressing these hiccups, you can always get in touch with Uber’s support service.

When things go out of control, one of the most significant issues is you always need a prompt response. You do not want a problem you cannot solve to get in the way of you delivering an order on time or arriving to pick up a passenger.

Call Uber Support

As a driver, you can call support service via the app. The first thing you need to do is go into the Account tab and then the Help option. The next page that will appear will have a phone icon on the upper right-hand corner. Once you do that, a confirmation will pop up; tap Call Support

Uber has also noted that if it is a matter of emergency, you must always call 911 before you call an Uber representative.

Uber also has a Critical Safety Response Line, which is active 24/7. This line is strictly only for critical emergencies. If you are in immediate danger, call 1(800)285-6172.

Uber App Support

You don’t have to call if you do not want to. You can get in touch with a representative via the Help section in the app. They have narrowed down categories that your query might be about over the years.

Uber Help Website

Uber has also introduced a web portal where you can get information on anything. You can get access to it here. If you think your problem is unique and outside the categories defined in the app, this is the place to talk about what issue you are facing thoroughly.

Visit A Greenlight Hub

The Uber Greenlight Hub is exclusively to assist drivers. Sometimes it helps if you explain your predicament in person, and if you think that will work for you better, this is the way to go. The Greenlight Hubs are locations where Uber representatives function to help people sign up with Uber and sort documentation.

To find a location near you, you can search for them on the Uber website. You can also make an appointment before you go to one. You can do this online here

Email Uber Support

You can also email Uber at support@Uber.com. However, with so many convenient ways to reach Uber support, makes this one the last resort.
