Uber Officially Completes Acquisition Of Postmates

Uber Technologies, which is also the parent company of UberEats, has finally acquired Postmates.

To Better Serve The Market

The company made this known through a press release some weeks ago. The two companies have been industry leaders in the food delivery space for years. And now, finally, they are merging to create a more memorable merchant-to-customer. And the union is expected to produce a more robust delivery marketplace that will benefit both the customers and hundreds of thousands of merchants all across North America.

“2020 has brought clarity to the opportunity we have to be strong partners to the restaurants and merchants we serve,” said the company.

Gig Economy Leader

Uber has been the mainstream mover of the gig-economy. It has a robust customer and business model second to none in the space. And a collaboration with Postmates means there is going to be more of that soon.

Food Delivery Pioneer

Postmates has been the market leader in the US’s food delivery space for quite some time now. It has more than 600,000 restaurants and retailers on its platform, including, but not limited to, emerging brands such as Tocaya Organica, Sweetfin, and many more.

“I’m confident that alongside UberEats we will create even more opportunities for our customers, continue to drive growth for our merchants, and deliver unique earning opportunities for our Postmates.” said Bastian Lehmann, co-founder, and CEO of Postmates.
