Drizly is one of the largest alcohol e-commerce platforms in the US. On the 5th of January, Drizly announced its delivery service expansion in Atlanta. The pandemic’s restrictions drive people to look for alternative ways of fun. Alcohol distribution became more challenging, with the absence of shops and restaurants. Yet, during 2020, Drizly managed to grow its sales by 350%. The company made the alcohol accessible to every household in many US Markets.

Drizly accomplished to form partnerships with some of the most well-known city’s adult beverage retailers. The Atlantian expansion is a new kick start that seems to boost the sales even more in 2021. 

Drizly’s initial partner retailers in Atlanta are A&M Beverage Company, ABC Package, Atlanta Package, Fairington Wine & Spirits, HD Wine Spirits+, Canton Package, Johns Creek Wine & Crystal, Pinkies Up Beer, Racetrack Foodmart, Savi Provisions, Side Door Liquors, The Savvy Cellars, Tower Beer, Wine & Spirits, and Tucker Wine, Beer & Spirits.

The expansion came after new legislation for online alcohol sales passed in the Georgia area. The latest legislation combined with the massive sale increase made Drizly expand its delivery horizon and offer its services in Atlanta. 

“Atlanta has been on Drizly’s radar for years now, so we were eager and ready to start connecting adults of legal drinking age with local retailers for at-home delivery as soon as legislation passed and regulations were finalized,” said Cathy Lewenberg, COO at Drizly.

Drizly is making alcohol delivery available to the 4.4 million adults within the Atlantian city and suburbs. After the new online alcohol permission legislation passed, retailers in the Georgia area are interested in growing their business within Drizly’s online platform. 

Even before the new legislation and expansion, people from Atlanta looked for ways to use Drizly’s delivery service. It is an opportunity for growth that is now has opened up more ajar. Retailers may have a chance to grow their businesses in this challenging period.

Alcohol Delivery 

The Boston-based company connects consumers to their local liquor stores online. It also allows customers to shop from a wide range of beer, wine, and spirits in less than 60 minutes. 

Drizly partners with retailers in 1,400+ cities. A transparent and personal experience is now available to legal aged consumers. 

Drizly charges a monthly fee to retailers to upload their products to the platform.

It also has a typical minimum order delivery at $5. However, it does not mark up the product’s prices. 

Moreover, Drizly created its own ID verification system that allows drivers to scan IDs for more than a barcode to ensure the purchaser is over 21 years old in the US and over Canada’s legal drinking age.

Drizly recently launched BevAlc. BevAlc Insights provides information about the beverage alcohol industry and the fast-growing e-commerce market. The platform also includes tips on how to operate in Georgia. There are always updates on categories and market trend forecasts, consumer insights, and other information that help retailers grow within the platform.
