How To Avoid Being Deactivated From Instacart

Instacart has been deactivating many shoppers lately. You can lose your source of income generation without any warning if you are not careful enough. If you intend to do more and more gigs as an Instacart Shopper, you need to be careful about a few things. Here are some rules that you should not try to breach if you wish to continue earning with the platform.

Poor Shopper Instacart ratings

Instacart is a trustworthy platform with a reputed brand name. The company takes all the measures to maintain its brand image. It provides an unparalleled customer experience. In an attempt to do this, the company keeps an eye on its gig shoppers. Those with bad ratings lie at risk of deactivation.

Verbal Assaults

Any shopper that tries to assault a customer verbally will quickly be kicked out of the platform and deactivated. As a shopper, you should always try to keep your calm. Also, avoid using abusive language in your conversation.

Physical Assaults

Never harm a customer or a store merchant. Stay away from all physical fights. The company will not only disable your account but also levy criminal charges. Such as attempting a physical assault on an Instacart customer or store merchant.

Discrimination

Intentionally or unintentionally, never harass or discriminate against your customers or merchants. In fact, that kind of behavior will become the cause of your deactivation from the platform.

Tampering with Instacart orders

Do not try to tamper with groceries or other stuff you shop before delivering it to your customer. By doing so, you’ll invite premature deactivation from Instacart.

Drugs/Alcohol abuse

Don’t ever go out shopping after the consumption of drugs or alcohol. Creating chaos in the store while being intoxicated is a certain way to get deactivated.

Thefts

Any attempt to steal from a store merchant or Instacart customer will not be entertained. In fact, it will fetch you deactivation from the platform.

Giving false delivery completion information

Marking batch deliveries complete before actual completion is fraudulent activity. This will certainly get you deactivated.

Giving receipts to Instacart customers

Giving receipts to customers is against the platform’s terms of services. Instacart considers this illegal and bars shoppers from doing so. This is to prevent customers from scamming the company. Any such behavior will invite your deactivation.

Use of Coupon Apps

Avoid using coupon apps with the Instacart receipts unless you wish to disable your account.

Having Duplicate Accounts on Instacart

It’s not allowed to have duplicate accounts. Every shopper can have only one account. Any shopper found to be using multiple accounts would be deactivated from the app.

Indulging in Fraud

Indulging in any fraud is prohibited on the Instacart platform. Anyone found doing so will lose the opportunity to fund his/her expenses through Instacart earnings.

Unprofessional behavior

You should maintain professionalism in every job you do. Bringing friends along with you while shopping for your Instacart customers is not allowed. If you get caught doing so, your account will be disabled for further use.

Using Third-party apps to pick batches

Do not try to pick up batches on the platform via bots or scripts. This kind of third-party access is illegal. In effect, it will become a cause for your account deactivation.

Breaching the Instacart Agreement

When you sign up, you agree to abide by the rules and regulations mentioned in its agreement. Anything otherwise will not be accepted and will lead to account suspension without any warning.
